give me a reason! any reason to spread your ideas! I dare you ....
I have not done any "personal ranting" on here in a while, and since I am feeling a little "ranty" today, I guess today is as good as any day to go ahead and let some ideas go!
Give me a reason! ANY reason to spread your ideas! I dare you...
As we move deeper into the post-industrial economy, and we see the implications of Social Media (if that is what you still call it...) on the brands that inspire, compel and move us, the statement above is quite daring. With massive social reach, this statement, said by the right person, could have some major impact on your brand, your "idea". However; to get this type of action to take place, to get someone to really "rave" about your idea, you are going to have to do something pretty darn remarkable, OR if it's not remarkable, it better be something that people can believe in on a deeply emotional level. In his recent video talk "How Great Leaders Inspire Action", Simon Sinek reveals to us a simple idea about the importance of the "why"....
What I want to talk about today, in this post is the "remarkable". A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post about my views on creativity, let me give you the part that I want you to really chew on ...
"... these are the people who have done remarkable things that can be written about and, and because of the public implications of their creativity, what they have done is neatly intertwined in our lives. "
Now, of course this is just my humble opinion... Right? However; my hopes are that you can find a strand of truth in it. Think about it, the things that have really made an impact in our lives are the things that we rave about. Twitter changed how we communicate and it reignited the "sexy" in brevity. Facebook allows us to connect with school mates from over 20 years ago, and Apple has managed to connect us to our devices in an intimate and meaningful way. NOW, this is not about Twitter, Facebook or Apple.
It's about you.
It's about you doing something so daring, so bold and so creative that you give me a reason to spread YOUR ideas.
This idea of you "giving me something" is not merely for the sake of "ego stroking". It's about your future. Look around ... Un-employment is rising if you have not noticed, however; the speed and pace of entrepreneurship is increasing. Those who are "making something", giving me, US, something to rave about are the new market leaders. Period.
So go ahead... Give me a reason, any reason to spread your ideas. I dare you.
