the difference between dreamers that do, and dreamers that don't ... points of reference.

Each morning when I wake up, I have a ritual. I roll out of bed, I make the bed up, I wander into the kitchen, I select the right blend of coffee, I pull out a coffee filter, put the filter in the coffee maker, poor in some water, and turn the coffee maker on. I then make my way to the shower, where I turn things up nice and steamy. I spend the next 10 - 15 minutes standing in bliss... Thinking. Once the "shower experience" is done, I grab my favorite pair of jeans, and a t-shirt ... By THIS TIME I am smelling the aroma of the coffee, so I go pour a nice big cup of it. I then head out to what I call "the Zen Garden", an oversized deck in the back of the house that is hidden in the shadow of trees. I sit there with my coffee, and I think some more .... Every part of this, from the time I wake up to the sitting on the deck, makes me incredibly happy. Achieving this "happiness" is not mysterious at all. In fact, it's quite methodical and planned, planned through a series of "reference points' that I KNOW will give me an end result. AND it's the reference points that I gain a wealth of confidence in knowing that if I do A, B, C and D... I am going to get a result, and that result for me is happiness ...

The Difference Between Dreamers That Do, And Dreamers That Don't ... Points of Reference.

We all have dreams. We have ideas that we would someday like to get into the earth. Rather the idea is as simple as making a cup of coffee in the morning or to the extreme of making the next "sure fire" marketplace marvel, we all have dreams and ideas. At Paper Aircrane, our entire business model is about making ideas, having dreams, and bringing the dreams and ideas, or manifesting them into the earth. Each team member of Paper Aircrane has had some level of success doing this. However; what I find more often than I would like to accept, is that many people have dreams that never make it into the earth, and what I believe to be one of the BIGGEST reasons WHY they (the dreams) never make it into the earth is because the Stewards of the dreams do not have a "point of reference" to manifest the dream from ....

Each morning I follow a pattern to manifest what I like to call "happiness". Happiness being the "big idea" is supported by points of reference. I KNOW that if I pick the right blend of coffee, I will get a certain smell. I KNOW that if I make my shower water just the right temperature, I am going to get 10 - 15 minutes of bliss. I KNOW that certain actions produce certain tangible and intangible results. Points of reference give me the "proof" that I need to keep doing the same things, to get the desired results.

"To manifest a dream, without any points of reference is a difficult task..."

Dreams are the exact same way... To manifest a dream, without any points of reference is a difficult task. If you have never "dreamed a thing" and went through the process of manifesting that "thing" into the earth, the whole idea of "dreaming and manifesting" seems illusive. If you KNEW, by point(s) of reference, that if you did A, B, C and D that you would manifest a dream, manifesting dreams for you would almost be like ... Making coffee.

Start With a Small Dream

"Start manifesting the dream by doing even smaller parts of the bigger sum..."

The next time you get a small dream, act on it. Start manifesting the dream by doing even smaller parts of the bigger sum. For example, if the dream is to build a brilliant blog, that people adore, start by buying the adorable domain name. Then once you have the domain name, write down the vision of the blog. After you have the domain name, and the vision, start sketching out the design, OR sit down with a Designer to have sketches done. If you are not a DIY kind of person, find out how much it will cost to build the blogs framework and design. Once you have the blog all designed and built, tap into the written vision of the blog, and begin creating content.

"Part of the battle, is just getting started..."

Once you have "manifested the dream" of the blog, dream again. And this time remember "the aroma of the vision writing". Remember the "thrill of buying the domain name". Remember "the sense of momentum when you saw the design unfold"... Your points of reference. The difference in dreamers that do, and dreamers that don't is that most dreamers that don't have never built a system of references.Small victories that let them know that all things are indeed possible when you start doing the A, B, C and D's of manifesting the dream into the earth.
